Not only do we have great activities off squadron, but our night by night events offer plenty of fun as well.

During our winter months we spend a lot of time at the squadron, offering archery and the chance to learn skills like radio communication, first aid training and aircraft modelling. Our inter flight challenge nights spark friendly competition between the cadets through team-building activities.

The winter months are when we like to teach you about the RAF, its history, principles of flight and other interesting topics.

The spring and summer months offer much more in terms of off-squadron activities. We often head out to a woodland area to practise our survival techniques and fieldcraft activities – this mostly involves games, camouflage face paint and hiding in bushes.

Sports are a large part of squadron activities, whether you take part or support your squadron. There are sports events for athletics, hockey, rugby and swimming, all of which you can get involved in.

The summer months are also the time that we get the opportunity to go flying, gliding and on adventure training activities, not to mention our annual, inter squadron and squadron camps.
