Our frequently asked questions

 

Q. How old do I have to be to join Air Cadets?

A. You should be in Year 8 to join Air Cadets.

 

Q. What do I do if I want to join?

A. You can either phone us on 01953 601210, you could send us a message through our contact page, or you can just come along one night to have a look around and talk to the staff.

 

Q. When does the squadron meet each week?

A. The squadron meets on a Wednesday and Thursday night, from 7.00pm to 9.30pm

 

Q. Where is the squadron?

Q. Do I have to attend both nights?

A. You don’t have to attend both nights, though you may miss out on some of the activities that occur when you aren’t there.

 

Q. What happens if I can’t attend a night?

A. We have an absents book – you just write your name next to the date you can’t attend so we know you won’t be able to make it.

 

Q. At what age can I start my Duke of Edinburgh Award?

A. Bronze: 14 years old

Silver: 15 years old

Gold: 16 years old
